Who We Are

We are the Boiler Book Club - The Largest Book Club at Purdue

Come and share our passion for books! No matter your major, age, how fast you read, or what genre you like - the Boiler Book Club is a great place to find fellow book lovers and explore different books.

Our executive team has structured the club to offer a ton of different opportunities to participate. We have one to two special events per semester, two coffee chats a month, one general meeting per month, and an active discord server! Mix and match what we offer to fit your needs as a reader. We are determined to please everyone - whether you have never finished a novel or read the Wheel of Time every weekend.

We read two books a month! The first one is picked by a popular vote and the second one is picked from a themed list curated by our board members. At the end of the month, we host a meeting to discuss them. If you don't have time, don’t worry! Spoilers are avoided and you can still participate in the conversation.

Come to our coffee chats to make friends and hang out with other book lovers! Bring the book you are currently reading, a craft, coffee, or just yourself. All members are welcome! There are often impromptu book shop or library visits afterward.

Other events are commonly thrown as well, ranging from talks with an author (such as Madeline Miller, Neal Shusterman, or Leigh Bardugo), Boiler Book-to-Movie nights, or our Reader Royale where you can win up to 100 dollars worth of books.
